Notable changes since PHP 8.4 impacting us:

  • The opcache extension is no longer an extension as such and is part of core.
  • A newer version of ICU is required, so we're building the latest from source.
  • Xdebug doesn't support PHP 8.5 yet, so we're skipping installing it for now.
