Hi @alamb, the profile is really cool - i wonder is there any docs on how to set up profiling via datafusion cli? |
@lyang24 -- that screenshot came from using Something like samply record -- ./datafusion-cli-alamb_enable_pushdown -f q.sql > /dev/null 2>&1Where the contents of q.sql was -- this is a scratch file for query analysis
-- Must set for ClickBench hits_partitioned dataset. See https://github.com/apache/datafusion/issues/16591
set datafusion.execution.parquet.binary_as_string = true;
create external table hits stored as parquet location hits;

Which issue does this PR close?
Rationale for this change
While profiling apache/datafusion#19477 I noticed some additional clones we could avoid
I doubt this will be a huge deal but it does remove some allocations int he parquet read path
What changes are included in this PR?
Use
into_datarather thanto_dataAre these changes tested?
Are there any user-facing changes?
