The default hardware to run ViewTouch on is the Chipsee all-in-one touchscreen computer shown on the ViewTouch.com homepage.
- Display: 15.6" Full High Definition (1920 × 1080) all-in-one touchscreen
- Processor: Integrated Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5L
- Storage: 32 Gb microSD card
- Operating System: Debian 13 Bookworm
- Filesystem: ext4
ViewTouch is designed to run on any touchscreen monitor capable of FHD (1920 × 1080) resolution.

21" to 24" monitors commonly used for:
- 🍽️ Restaurants offering customer self-ordering
- 👨🍳 Food preparation sites
- Keyboard and mouse are required
- Essential for creating and modifying menus in ViewTouch
- Not needed for typical day-to-day use
- Pure touchscreen operation for staff and customers
Bixolon Printers and Cash Drawers are highly recommended.
- Easy Management: Managed with CUPS printer software (included in Debian and most Linux distributions)
- Multiple Interfaces: USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, and wired network connectivity
- Driver Support: PPD files available for full functionality
CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) provides seamless printer management with excellent ease of use for Point of Sale environments.
