Note:

1. There are many failures in the github build which should be fixed and then rebuilt.
2. The SD 3.4.3 Auto Plugin part leaves many duplicate OS versions in the Catalog.
3. I understand from Dave and my own experience that having duplicate OS with different version numbers, blows up the PI Manager.
4. Why is this not happening with SD templates? Why the difference?

Nope. The manager can handle multiple versions for the same ABI.

The problem is that the user experience is bad since user has to select which version she wants use, a choice which is hard for an end user which lacks information. For this reason we avoid having multiple versions for same ABI available in the master catalog.

In for example Beta it is perfectly fine to have different versions available for test purposes.
