Description
Hi! We’ve been developing a tool that scans downstream forks to find valuable commits that haven’t been merged back upstream, and your repo was one of the best examples we found — thank you for maintaining it!
While reviewing the commit history, we noticed that there are quite a few commits here that look useful, but don’t seem to have been proposed back to the upstream/original repository yet. We also saw that some commits reference upstream issue numbers, which suggests they were made to address real upstream problems.
So we wanted to ask: was there a particular reason these changes weren’t upstreamed as PRs?
(e.g. limited time/bandwidth, conflicts/CI pain, or maybe upstream wasn’t interested at the time)
If you’re open to it, we’d be happy to help by preparing clean PRs for a shortlist of the most valuable commits (splitting them into small PRs, resolving conflicts, updating commit messages, and making sure CI passes).
No pressure at all — just wanted to check first and understand the context before doing any upstream work. Thanks again!
