Who am I?

Hi. I am the maintainer of Baileys, whatsmeow and whatsapp-web.js, the three most prominent WhatsApp Web API automation projects.

What is this Program?

This is a sponsors program in order to allow me to continue my work in the open-source sector, and pay for costs related to open-source development. To the right (and down), you can see the tiers listed.

What are the benefits

The most exclusive benefit is the 1 hour meeting. You can book one to the right under "one-time". Professional Sponsors get 1 hour meeting every 2 months which is cheaper than outright booking (You get your meeting by the 2nd month).

How are the funds being used?

  • Donations to other members of the community, latest example being my donation of 500$ to @vphelipe after their work on the lowercase hex id (66e) issue, and a sizeably large monthly donation to @jlucaso1 and @vinikjkkj (few hundred USD)
  • Domain registration fees, currently the WhiskeySockets project operates 3 domains, and 2 other retired domains that we'll keep paying for in a year (a .com and .io domains). ( Few hundred $ / yr )
  • Discord bots (translation, ticketing, FAQ, polling, other tools) (Over 100$/month)
  • Webpage hosting fees
  • Cloud fees for Baileys tests, among phone number fees for numbers used to test Baileys (hundreds / month)
  • Other expenses needed for the health and sustenance of the project. (varies)
