Fixed locations for wells doesn't work, need automatic location detection

There's a surprising amount of variation in the well locations from one plate to another. Turns out the acrylic sheet has some play, and there's also play in where the plate sits and whether it's rotated at all. So, there now need to be automated detection of the well location or I don't think this is going to work.
