[BUG] No icon in activity bar after install

I have installed Roo Code on VS Code via Extensions Marketplace, but no icon appears in the activity bar. Right clicking the activity bar doesn't show any entry for Roo Code.

Happens to new user installing Roo Code

Reproduction steps

1. Windows 11, VS Code v1.108.2, Roo Code v3.42.0
2. Open VS Code -> Extensions -> Install https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=RooVeterinaryInc.roo-cline
3. After installing, no icon appears in the activity bar.

Icon appears in the activity bar

Actual result

Icon doesn't appear in the activity bar

Variations tried (optional)

I've checked my settings.json and there's nothing Roo Code specific.

I also tried uninstalling, deleting the rooveterinaryinc.roo-cline folders in %userprofile%.vscode\extensions and %appdata%\Code\User\globalStorage and then re-installing

5. I've disabled every other extension, the problem still persists

Thanks for providing the additional information and the screenshot. I can see this appears to be a real issue since you have confirmed:

• Activity bar is visible
• Extension is installed and enabled
• No console errors
• Disabled all other extensions and problem persists
• Window reload did not help

I will explore the codebase to investigate how the activity bar icon is configured and look for potential causes. I will open a PR to share progress once I identify a potential fix.

Opened a PR with my attempt at addressing this: #10918

The fix simplifies the activity bar SVG icon to follow VS Code best practices:

• Removed XML declaration and unnecessary namespaces (Adobe Illustrator metadata)
• Removed internal stylesheet
• Changed from hardcoded #000 fill to fill="currentColor" for proper theme integration

This should help with rendering on newer VS Code versions. Would you be able to test this fix by building from the PR branch? Feedback welcome!
