Update qBittorrent to latest version

Current version 5.1.0 has some bugs with speed limitations that's affecting download speeds in a weird way.
These problem have been (probably) addressed in later 5.1.4 version.
Please upgrade it, we're already using a version that almost a year old.

We install qbittorrent-nox from global Debian package repository. Latest version available is 5.1.0-2 on Debian Trixie.

You might need to use Debian Backports as it's offering 5.1.2-1.
5.1.4 is available on Debian Forky only

Bug fixes may be also patched into older versions by the Debian maintainer(s). E.g. this was the case with some security issues: https://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs//main/q/qbittorrent/qbittorrent_5.1.0-2_changelog

If you know the commit which solved the issue, and it is not a huge one, a request for patching that into Trixie could be done, or starting with a bug report: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=qbittorrent

Since a Trixie backports package exists, it could be also asked to update that. But makes sense to first know for sure whether 5.1.4 really solves it, at best with a related issue or commit from their source repo: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent

Sadly I don't know is they fixed it. It's a weird bug, hard to describe, but, it's there in this 5.1.0 version.

So maybe it was fixed in 5.1.2 already, which can be tested easily at least:

apt install -t trixie-backports qbittorrent-nox

If I see it correctly, even v5.1.4 from Forky can be installed on Trixie:

cd /tmp
wget https://deb.debian.org/debian/pool/main/q/qbittorrent/qbittorrent-nox_5.1.4-dmo1_arm64.deb
dpkg -i qbittorrent-nox_5.1.4-dmo1_arm64.deb

Replace "arm64" with your system's architecture.
